Make it a musical weekend in Massachusetts
August 1st, 2008
Tanglewood in Lenox, MA offers a chocker-block weekend of exceptional musical offerings Friday. August 1 through Sunday, August 3.
Commencing tonight with Peter Oundijian conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Joshua Bell offering a program including Ravel, Chausson, Saint-Saens, and Mussorgsky, the event concludes on Sunday with Carlos Miguel Prieto conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Yo-Yo Ma in a program including Albeniz, Lalo’s Cello Cencerto, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances (the Saturday schedule is no less impressive).
Enjoy.
