106 West 29th Street, the Art Directors Club, a swanky gallery of convergence in advertising, design and communications in Manhattan’s future neighborhood of note, the Flower District, is tonight hosting Reconstitution 2008 – SoSoLimited’s live audiovisual remix of the Presidential debates.
SoSo is three students from MIT who created software that samples and analyzes the video, audio, and closed caption text of a television broadcast. Their visual interplay reveals linguistic patterns, and exposes content and structure.
Tickets are $20 for members of the ADC, and $25 for others, and includes complimentary drinks, and the ADC’s infamous cheese sticks.

It’s not Sundance or Cannes. From Soderbergh’s 268-minute Che to Clint’s latest – The Changeling – to Mickey Rourke’s plastic surgery (see photo on left)… it’s The 46th New York Film Festival. And it’s happening right now (Sept. 26 – Oct. 12).
