If you aren’t heading out of town, head uptown.
The last of a week of spectacular concerts of students and teachers at the Mark O’Connor Fiddle Camp will be held tonight at 7:00 PM at the auditorium of the Y on 64th Street just west of Central Park West.
The orchestra is reserved for the Mark O’Connor campers, but the balcony is open to the public, and admission is with a donation to this 501c3 which offers a wonderful exploration of a playfulness for string players.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum celebrates its golden anniversary with the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward.
The 50th anniversary exhibition includes sixty-four Frank Lloyd Wright projects, including privately commissioned residences, civic and government buildings, religious and performance spaces, and unrealized urban mega-structures. Presented on the spiral ramps of Wright’s museum, 200 original Frank Lloyd Wright drawings, newly commissioned models and digital animations—Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward, illuminate Wright’s pioneering concepts of space and reveal the architect’s continuing relevance to contemporary design.
Through August 23rd, 2009.

90 Second Fitness — Fit it in.
If you haven’t gotten to the gym this week — even if you have in fact — if you haven’t exhausted your muscles to the point of failure, and seen the reward of a svelter tighter you, find your way to 155 East 55th Street. There, you’ll find Pete Cerqua, whose exercise method — 90 Second Fitness — is enjoying merited attention in the press.
The exercises suggested in this method are postures that can be repeated at home, at your gym, and some — at the office water cooler. You will exhaust your muscles, tighten - lengthen - and loose.
A work-out takes 15 minutes, and Cerqua recommends 1 session/ week.
He’s taken your last excuse — lack of time — out of the way of your fitness success.
90 Second Fitness is located at 155 East 55th Street, between Lexington & 3rd Avenues, NYC. Cerqua’s midtown studio offers personal attention with Cerqua and his staff on machines, matts, and a sunlit patio.
