Volunteer to help the hungry on Martin Luther King Day.
If you are in the process of making New Year’s resolutions, please resolve to end hunger.
Your first step of this mission is to join hundreds of New Yorkers on January 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2010, in celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday by participating in the New York City Coalition Against Hunger’s 7th Annual MLK Anti-Hunger Serve-A-Thon, a three-day event featuring over 30 volunteer projects throughout all five boroughs of New York City.
Visit nyccah.org to learn more about MLK Serve-a-Thons and register to volunteer.
About the NYC Coalition Against Hunger
The New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) represents the more than 1,200 nonprofit soup kitchens and food pantries in New York City and the more than 1.3 million low-income New Yorkers who are forced to use them. The Coalition works to meet the immediate food needs of low-income New Yorkers and enact innovative solutions to help them move “beyond the soup kitchen” to self-sufficiency.
