Looking for a $22 glass of Pinot Grigio?

July 3rd, 2008

The rooftop lounge, Mad46, a hip new addition to the Roosevelt hotel, offers a sunlit space where you can enjoy a Mojito in style. Well-dressed men and scantily dressed women mingle with Madonna’s newest songs wafting in the background. With limited hours – and limited space – reservations are recommended.

Sex and the city (even better than TV)

March 22nd, 2008

When enjoying a city famous for never sleeping, one might be excused for conjuring up some, uh, offbeat images of what goes on after hours. Sure, they may have sanitized the old Red Light District, but don’t assume NYC sex can only be found in a museum.

There’s something for every taste: from naughty to wiggy, from ouch to couch to all of the above.

Alternative lifestyles?

But, of course.

If you’d prefer to procure what you need to keep things more private:

Toys in Babeland

The Pink Pussycat

The Pleasure Chest

And remember: Safe is the new kinky.

March 17: A Lucky Day to be in NYC

March 14th, 2008

On St. Patrick’s Day in New York, you probably don’t want to miss the world famous parade: 247 years strong and counting. On their green-lined route, the marchers will pass St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the American Irish Historical Society. Afterwards – Irish or not – you may wish to indulge in Emerald Isle arts or perhaps imbibe a wee bit of ale (unless green tea is your preference).

Those in search of even more green can seek out a lawn (among other leafy friends) or a market, but if you prefer thinking over drinking…perhaps Brooklyn has the right shade of emerald for you.
