Cape May
Three hours and 160 Miles from New York is the southernmost tip of New Jersey and it’s worth a visit.
The beaches are pristine, the waves are lapping, and porpoises are at play in the waves, up and down the shoreline.
Enjoy.

Menu for a Sunny Day ~ NYC
Finally, we are in for a lovely week of weather. Whether you are able to take advantage of this weather with a little time to play, or just sneak out of work in time to see the sun set, Bryant Park offers several types of fun in midtown
For lunch or dinner, the Bryant Park Grill offers a healthful menu in the structured and green garden behind the NYC Public Library. Less lovely, less pricey and less healthful is neighboring Bryant Park Cafe. Alternately gourmet snacks are available at the northwest corner of the park from ‘witchcraft.
Mondays in the summer enjoy Bryant Park’s Summer Film Festival, tonight featuring Breaking Away.
The lawn opens at 5:00pm for blankets and picnicking. The films begin at sunset (typically between 8pm and 9pm).
A teenage cyclist, Dennis Christopher, is besotted with all things Italian in a small Indiana college town. Things seem to be going nowhere for him and his townie buddies (Dennis Quaid, Jackie Earle Haley, and Daniel Stern), and he convinces them to take on the students at the Little 500 bicycle race. Flawlessly written by Steve Tesich and directed by Peter Yates. (1979) 100 Min. (Fox)

John Giorno Poems
Friends describe me as an eternal optimist. I have my other days as well. On my pessimistic - or more realistic days - I hear John Giorno poems. These are my favorite.

A year ago, September 2007, we launched My Urban Sherpa, to help you navigate New York like a New Yorker, (we’ve even been told we’ve introduced New Yorkers to some of their favorite new places!) We’ve suggested our favorites from the myriad excellent choices for restaurants, bars, museums, shops, hotels and happenings.
We are still pursuing this goal, but today the issue of $ / $$ / $$$ is more important that ever before – for everyone we know.
So we’re going to be highlighting the best of an affordable, and sometimes even FREE New York.
Today this means strolling along 5th Avenue to see the holiday windows. Bergdorf Goodman’s windows opened yesterday, up and down 5th Avenue – retailers are ready for Christmas.
If you find yourself peckish at 5th Avenue and 32nd Street, head West to Kum Gang San for a spicy Korean lunch for less than $10.
If you are still ambling about this evening – don’t miss Jenny Holzer’s wonderful and FREE instillation at the Guggenheim Museum.
